New fostering sessions at libraries

Press Release: 10/04/2018

A NEW round of fostering drop in sessions have been scheduled to take place in Tameside’s libraries to help find loving foster homes for children in care.

Anyone interested in finding out more about becoming a foster carer can attend one of the drop in sessions or call the Council’s foster care support team on 0161 368 8865. There will be social workers on hand to provide more information and answer any questions people may have.

Tameside Council foster carers receive excellent training and support as well as an allowance. There are flexible opportunities – from long term placements to respite and emergency care – to fit around your existing work and commitments. The fostering team want to hear from people of all ages and backgrounds who may be able to provide a stable and caring home.
