Tameside YES Businesses

Tameside Council is looking for businesses to provide a 6 month work placement for local unemployed young people. In return, the council will fund 6 months' salary support. Terms and Conditions (0.39MB)

Tameside YES currently has two offers:

  • Apprenticeship route
  • Non-apprenticeship route

Apprenticeship OfferRegister your interest
This consists of the Council funding 6 months of an apprenticeship. The apprenticeship must last for a minimum of 12 months and follow the Council’s apprenticeship salary structure (below).

Non-Apprenticeship Offer – Register your interest
This consists of the Council funding 6 months of a non-apprenticeship job role. The role must last for a minimum of 6 months, with longer term prospects, and be paid at the Living Wage, as per the Living Wage Foundation. If an employer has not adopted this rate of pay, they may match the existing pay rate, but no less than National Minimum Wage.
