Notice is hereby given under Regulation 16(1) of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 that the auditor has concluded their audit of the statement of accounts, which has been published.

The Authorities accounts were subject to external audit by Grant Thornton UK LLP, 4 Hardman Square, Spinningfields, Manchester, M3 3EB.

From Tuesday 13 September 2016, until Monday 10 October 2016, between the hours of 8.30am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday a local government elector for any area to which the accounts relate may inspect and make copies of:

a) the statement of accounts prepared by the authority,

b) the local auditor’s certificate that the audit of the authority’s accounts including that statement has been completed,

c) the auditor’s opinion on the statement of accounts,

d) any public interest report relating to the authority or an entity connected with it, and

The Authorities 2015/16 Statement of Accounts has been prepared and will be available to view on the Authorities website from Tuesday 13 September 2016 at https://www.tameside.gov.uk/budget/statementofaccounts/1516. This statutory notice sets out the rights that members of the public and local government electors have under the relevant regulations.
