Community engagement
Thank you for getting involved
Thank you to everyone who has taken part in our community events, conversations and survey so far.
People from across Hattersley Pride in Place have shared their ideas about what they love about Hattersley and what they would like to see improved in the future. Your feedback is helping shape plans for the area and identify where investment could make the biggest difference.
What people have told us
So far, local people have told us that these things are important:
- Safer neighbourhoods.
- Better roads, streets and parking.
- Easier access to health and care services.
- Better parks, play areas and green spaces.
- More opportunities for young people.
- More community activities and events.
- More pride in Hattersley and stronger community connections.
These priorities will help guide future plans, but the conversation is not over. We will keep listening to local people as the programme develops.
More opportunities are coming
The first round of community engagement has now taken place, but there will be many more opportunities to get involved.
Over the coming months and years, we will continue to hold events, activities and conversations with local people. We want to hear from as many residents, businesses, community groups and young people as possible so that local voices stay at the heart of decision-making.
Details of future events and activities will be shared on this page.
Stay involved
If you have an idea, question or comment, we would love to hear from you.

What happens next?
The Hattersley Pride in Place Board is reviewing the feedback received so far and using it to help create a neighbourhood plan for Hattersley. This plan will help guide future investment and projects over the coming years
By working together, we can build on Hattersley's strengths and make sure future investment reflects the needs and ambitions of the local community.
