Community Forums

Tameside Council is committed to working with each of the borough’s nine towns, engaging with residents and listening to your views. To support this, the Council has established the Community Forums, five committees made up of your local Councillors where residents are invited to take part in debate and ask questions on important community issues. Although there are five committees, all nine of Tameside’s civic townships are represented, with each town being represented by their ward Councillors and supported by a senior Council officer. The Community Forums have superseded the four previous Neighbourhood Forums.

Dates, topics, and full transcripts of questions and answers from each meeting will be available to view on this page, along with full meeting agendas and minutes through our mod.gov system. All of this information can be accessed through the sections on each Forum below.

Upcoming Meetings

Coming up at the June meetings, attendees can learn more about the new committees and discuss proposals for Pride in Place.

Meetings will be held at the following times and places:

Denton: Wednesday 17 June, 6:30pm, Location Tameside Wellness Centre, Lance Corporal Andrew Breeze Way, Denton, M34 3RD

Droylsden and Audenshaw: Thursday 18 June, 6:30pm, Location Guardsman Tony Downes House (GMPF)

Ashton and Mossley: Monday 22 June, 6:30pm, Location St Ann’s Social Centre, Burlington Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL6 7DG

Stalybridge and Dukinfield: Tuesday 23 June, 6:30pm, Location Stalybridge Victoria Market Hall

Hyde and Longdendale: Wednesday 24 June, 6:30pm, Location Newton Suite, Hyde Town Hall.
