Mortgages

If you are worried about being able to pay your mortgage the Government have introduced a 3 month holiday on repayments. This has now been extended to cover Buy-to-Let mortgages for landlords

To arrange a holiday you need to contact your mortgage lender.
Be aware: If you take a holiday, one it ends your repayments may increase.
 

Tenants

If you are renting your accommodation and are worried about being able to afford to make your payments, the Government have introduced some measure to help you:

• From April, Local Housing Allowance rates will be increased to the 30th percentile of market rents. This will apply to all private renters who are new or existing Universal Credit housing element claimants, and to existing Housing Benefit claimants.
