Constituency Work

I have dealt with many constituents’ enquiries throughout the year including issues such as refuse and recycling collections, road conditions, street lighting, council tax and various council related issues, and also housing issues with local housing associations. Once again, we held the popular pensioners parties, which are always extremely well attended and thoroughly enjoyed.

I have attended Ward meetings and have assisted with campaigns in other wards.

Members Advice Surgeries

I have attended monthly advice surgeries with my Ward colleagues at Dukinfield Town Hall.

Training and Development

I have attended various training sessions specifically designed for Elected Members.

Achievements during the Year

I have continued to promote Heritage and Tourism throughout Tameside in my role as Assistant Executive Member for Heritage and Tourism. I have attended my events in this role and have been proud to introduce the Brown Plaque Scheme to the borough.

I have raised monies through my voluntary work and have organised events for The Christie Hospital, Bourne House Residential Home, Help for Heroes, the Shoebox Appeal, Macmillan Nurses and many more.
