Annual Report of Activities 2015/16

Participation at Council Meetings and Panels

I have attended all Full Council Meetings, most of the Services for Children and Young People Scrutiny Panels and all Speakers Panels (Planning).

Participation at District Assemblies

I am Chair of Hyde and Longdendale District Assembly. I helped organise the Christmas Lights Switch On Ceremony and also the Christmas Party at the Grafton Centre for 200 people.

Participation on Outside Bodies and Partnerships

I am a Member of the Hyde War Memorial Trust and Greater Manchester Waste Disposal & Regulation Authorities. I am also on the Management Committees at Werneth House and the Grafton Centre and I am Chair of the Grafton Centre Development Trust.

Participation on School Governing Bodies

I am Chair of Governors at Oakfield School in Hyde and have attended most meetings.

Constituency Work

I have done a lot of work in the local area including work with the Grafton Centre, Rydal House and Hyde Park.

Training and Development

I have attended many training sessions throughout the year.

Achievements during the Year

My achievements this year include being the Deputy Mayor of Tameside. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as Deputy Mayor and it has been a truly wonderful experience. I now look forward to continuing my civic duties during the year ahead as Civic Mayor of Tameside.
