Tameside Polling District and Polling Places Review 2024
Tameside Council were required to conduct a Polling District and Polling Places Review during the compulsory review period, by 31 January 2025. We have now concluded the review following the meeting of full council on 3 December 2024 and published our Annual Register on 2 January 2025.
A consultation period took place between 9 October and 5 November 2024. Representations were welcomed from residents, elected members, and any persons with expertise concerning accessibility, such as disability and community groups.
The review ensures that the polling districts and polling places in Tameside’s Parliamentary Constituencies suit the needs of voters and covers:
- Each ward’s polling district boundaries
- The location of each polling district’s polling places
- The accessibility of polling stations
Polling stations should be accessible in terms of geography and accommodate all voters.
Polling stations will not be changed without good reason.
