Car Parking : Lymefield Visitor Centre, Lower Market Street, Broadbottom.

A pleasant route exploring the site of Broadbottom's largest mill complex. The site is now a peaceful haven of grassland, ponds and woodland.

The car park is smooth tarmac with a gradient of 1:12. From the car park turn left down the rough stone road (gradient 1:12) and on to the level track in front of the terraced houses. Access to the site is through a stile suitable for prams and wheelchairs. There are no other obstacles. The site is generally level with compacted stone and grass paths. To get on to the riverside path there is a 50 metre slope with a maximum gradient of 1:7. At the end of the path there is an excellent viewpoint overlooking Broadbottom Gorge. Throughout the site there are interpretation boards and bench seats placed at regular intervals.
