The lower Brushes Valley has a network of paths, all of which are surfaced in compacted crushed stone. The car park is level and made of compacted crushed stone. To reach the pond leave the car park and go through the pram and wheelchair accessible stile and go down the hill, a gradient of 1:8 for 100 metres and then turn right at the bottom of the hill on the level path for 650 metres to the pond. Return either the same way or go up the 47 steps to the main path and turn right down the hill with a gradient of 1:10 for 400 metres back to the car park.
