How can the National Careers Service help me?

Your personal National Careers Service adviser can help you to plan your future. They can offer you a variety of services – which ones you choose will depend on what you want to do.

Your National Careers Service adviser can help you:

  • search and apply for jobs
  • understand the job market
  • search for courses and training schemes
  • find funding to support any learning
  • identify your key strengths and skills
  • explore your career options
  • choose training routes that fit your lifestyle
  • develop an action plan to help you achieve your goals.

1-2-1 appointment

The National Careers Service offers Information, Advice and Guidance digitally as well as over the telephone and by email. If you would like some telephone guidance then please call Contact by Telephone 0800 100 900 and if further support is required we will then try to book you in, with an advisor, from your local area.


Appointments are available Monday - Friday at various locations across Tameside.
