Liam Mellows
Join us for a talk by North West Labour History Society on Liam Mellows. Mellows was born at the Hartshead Military Barracks in Ashton-under-Lyne on 25 May 1892. Mellows, between 1916 and 1922 played a significant part in the Irish War of Independence, and lost his life in the Irish Civil War.
