Mental Health Awareness Week 2022
Mental Health Awareness Week, founded by the Mental Health Foundation 21 years ago, is a great opportunity to pause and take a moment to consider your mental wellbeing and the mental wellbeing of those around you.
This year, for Mental Health Awareness Week, we are highlighting the ways people can tackle loneliness and isolation by reconnecting with the community in Tameside. Over the next week we will be sharing some of the many Tameside groups and activities you, your family and your friends can get involved in to support your mental health and connect with others.
To start with, there’s Greater Manchester Walking Festival with over 100 planned walks across Greater Manchester including walks accessible for people of all abilities. Find a walk near you at the GM Walking Festival website:
https://gmwalking.co.uk/festival-routes/
Find more advice and support for loneliness visit the Every Mind Matters website
