Tameside and Glossop CCG – Personal Health Budgets

Tameside and Glossop CCG – Personal Health BudgetsTameside and Glossop CCG is pleased to launch the extension of the personal health care budget local offer to people who frequently use health services, enabling them to have greater choice, flexibility and control over the health care and support they receive.

A personal health budget is an amount of money to support a person’s identified health and wellbeing needs, which is planned and agreed between the person, their health/social care representative or, in the case of children with their families and the CCG. It is not new money but money that would normally have been spent by the NHS on the person’s care.

The CCG are aiming to co-produce the local offer of personal health budgets by working with, and learning from patients and staff throughout 2016/17.

To find out more about personal health budgets and how the CCG are developing the offer locally, click on the link below or contact Tracy Turley, Personal Health Budget Co-ordinator by email: who will be happy to talk through the concept of personal health budgets or arrange a staff awareness session. External Link
