CONSULTATION ON SCHOOL ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS FOR
TAMESIDE COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY CONTROLLED SCHOOLS
FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR SEPTEMBER 2024
Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is carrying out a consultation on the proposed changes to admission arrangements for schools in the borough, for admission in September 2024.
The consultation is being carried out by the Council as admission authority for community and voluntary controlled schools.
The consultation closes on the 15th December 2022.
The following document, Annual Consultation on Admission Arrangements – 2024/25 outlines the changes.
The proposed changes to admission arrangements as detailed in the above document for 2024 are:
- To reduce the Published Admission Number at Hyde High School from 240 to 210
- To reduce the Published Admission Number at Denton Community College, from 330 to 270
- To update the definition on home address where parents have shared responsibility each for part of the week.
- To improve the wording to ensure alignment with the Admissions Code for ‘Admission outside Normal Age Range’
