The Virtual School is committed to working in partnership with council services and external agencies, as well as our young people and their families.

We believe in the principles of co-production and strive to operate within the co-production framework, where the voice of the child is key.

The Tameside Pledge reinforces this belief and, as your corporate parent, we are committed to operating within the principles of the Pledge.

The Virtual School and College service depends on the principles of collaborative working and a multi-agency approach. As such, the head teacher and members of the team work closely with, or are members of the following organisations:

  • Tameside Association of Secondary Head Teachers.

  • Schools Child Protection Network

  • North West Regional Virtual Heads meetings

  • Greater Manchester Higher Network

  • Book Start from The Book Trust

  • Member of National Virtual Head Teachers Association

  • Positive Steps

  • Corporate Parenting Board

  • Tameside Vulnerable Pupils meetings

  • Right Angle Programme with Tutor Trust
