Energy Efficiency Teaching Resources
In order to help engaging with pupils of primary school age about energy efficiency the Energy Unit at Tameside Council is loaning out a new model house which shows some of the things that can be done around the home to save energy and reduce waste. This is a good interactive and visual tool that pupils can find interesting and easy to understand. Borrowing the house is totally free of charge.

To assist in using the model house as an educational tool there are also a number of documents which can be used in conjunction with it or on their own. This includes a list of class activities which describe a number of different lessons and activities which you can work through with pupils and also templates of the house and handouts to accompany some of the activities.
