Interpretation

If English is not your spoken language and you need help in talking / explaining or understanding Council documents then help is at hand.

Tameside Council has access to a bank of Interpreters covering over 140 different languages. This facility is delivered via Conference Call where 3 way conversation takes place over the phone between the:

If you ring the Council with your needs then we will arrange for an Interpreter of your required language within 90 seconds of your call and have your query dealt with.

We also have officers with Gujarati, Bengali and Urdu language skills based at Ashton Customer Services. At Hyde Customer Service Centre we have officers with Bengali skills.
