Brass memorial plaque to the memory of Lieutenant Colonel Plunkett of the Manchester Regiment who was killed in action at Gumburu, Somaliland 17 April 1903 whilst commanding a battalion of the King's African Rifles.

In loving memory of William Frederick Nuthall Lieutenant Col late of the Manchr Regt (63rd) and staff. Eldest son of the late Genl William Frost Nuthall Bengal Army. Born 23 August 1845 Died 3 August 1912 at Southsea. The formation of the Thurlestone Rifle Club was due to his energy and enthusiasm. Whatsoever his hand found to do he did with all his might.

This tablet is erected by his sister & a few friends.
