Support to Providers of Childcare and Education
Financial Support to Childcare Providers
Nursery Education Grant
For children aged 3 and 4 years old. The Nursery Education Grant enables providers on the Tameside Nursery Education Directory of Providers to give children up to five 2½ hour sessions of nursery education per week for 38 weeks per year. The grant is paid directly to the provider.

Children's Centres and Extended Schools Sustaining Grant
This is a fund that may be available for childcare providers who are facing short-term financial difficulties. Apply by application form.

Working Tax Credit
Many parents paying for childcare may be able to get up to 80% of the costs back through the childcare element of the Working Tax Credit. This can be a substantial subsidy and it can help you to sustain your business.

The team offer professional development, support and advice to potential and current childcare providers and a mentoring service for Quality Assurance schemes. A wide range of short childcare training courses is available to all registered providers, parents and carers.
