Financial Support to Childcare Providers
Free Entitlement Funding (FEF)
For children aged 3 and 4 years old. The Free Entitlement Funding (FEF) enables providers on the Tameside Directory of Providers to give children up to five 3 hour sessions of funding per week for 38 weeks per year. The funding is paid directly to the provider.

Tameside Family Information Service
For children aged 3 and 4 years old. The Free Entitlement Funding enables providers on the Tameside Directory of Providers to give children up to 15 hours of free flexible early years education for 38 weeks of the year. The funding is paid directly to the provider.
Two Year Old Funding
There are free childcare places for eligible families with a 2 year old who live within Tameside.

Early Years Quality Improvement Team (EYQIT)
The Early Years Quality Improvement Team (EYQIT) provides support, advice and guidance to all early years’ practitioners who are required to deliver to the EYFS statutory framework (Early Years Foundation Stage). Within the Early Years Quality Improvement Team (EYQIT) there are Early Years Quality Officers who offer specialist support to Private, Voluntary, Independent settings and Children’s Centre’s.
