Apply for a School Place Online 

The step by step process for applying for a school place online on the Citizen Portal is as follows:
  1. Please ensure you have read the relevant admission policy to ensure you meet the criteria for the school(s) you have chosen.
  2. Before you make your application, if you have not registered previously, you will need to register using a valid email address and choose a password. You may have used the Citizen Portal previously to apply for a school place, or for funding for a 2 year old child. If so, you should use the same login details. If you cannot remember your login details, please follow the links provided in the Citizen Portal, and these will be sent to you.
  3. If you are applying for more than one child, you will need to fill in an application for each child.
  4. If you change your mind after submitting your application:
    1. Primary & Secondary (Reception & Year 7) – You can amend your application at any time up to and including the closing date (15th January 2024 for Primary School and 31st October 2023 for Secondary School). You MUST remember to RESUBMIT your application. After the closing date you will NOT be able to amend your application. If you need to make any changes, please contact school admission for further information.
    2. Moving School during the School Year (In-Year Transfers) – you can login to your Citizen Portal account and change your application at any point.  You MUST remember to resubmit your application.
  1. If any additional information is required in support of your application, e.g. exceptional circumstances form, it is your responsibility to ensure it reaches us at before the deadline date.
