Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 Sections 12 to 16


The Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council Alcohol Consumption in Designated Public Places Order 2003

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council of Tameside Council Offices, Wellington Road, Tameside, OL6 6DL (“the Council”), in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 sections 12 to 16, having satisfied itself that there is nuisance or annoyance being caused to members of the public or a section of the public and/or incidents of disorder in the Tameside Borough area and that these are associated with the consumption of intoxicating liquor in that area, makes the following Order:

  1. The land described in the Schedule below and shown on the map attached to this Order outlined in red being land in the area of the Council which is land to which the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001 sections 12 to 16 applies, is hereby designated for the purposes of the Act.
  2. This Order may be cited as the Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council Alcohol Consumption in Designated Public Places Order 2003 and shall come into force on the 22nd July 2003.

Schedule

The areas to be designated are all those public places that fall within the whole of the Borough of Tameside (as defined by the Local Government Act 1972) except the Werneth Low Country Park; Grotton Brickworks and quarry; the area around the Audenshaw reservoir; the area known as Hartshead Pike Luzley and Park Bridge together with the moorlands to the Northeast of Tameside but including Lily Lanes near Hatch End Green; Trout Hatchley near the Brushes Stalybridge and the Car Park situated in Werneth Low Country Park, and more particularly delineated on the map coloured green.
