Tameside Resettlement Scheme
Essential furniture and household appliances (subject to eligibility).
This scheme will only provide items once in a 24 month period, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
The items will be provided, delivered and installed by Furniture Resource Centre.
Please note: The Tameside Resettlement Scheme cannot provide assistance with food, clothing, utilities, rent arrears or Council Tax arrears.

Migrant Destitution Fund
The GM Migrant Destitution Fund (MDF) provides cash grants for people forced into destitution by their immigration status.

Household Support Fund- Tameside
The Fund can support with costs for food and/or energy where someone is in crisis and cannot afford such essentials.
The scheme is discretionary, and the funds will be used to support households in the most need.

Refugee Integration Loan
Refugees or people with humanitarian protection may also be eligible for an integration loan.
This has to be paid back but it is an interest-free loan. The smallest amount you can borrow is £100.
An integration loan can help cover the cost of the essential items needed to start a new life, for example a rent deposit or rent, work clothes or household items.
Claims are decided by the Home Office.
