Health

Asylum Seekers and Refugees (including those applying for asylum, humanitarian protection or temporary protection whose claims, including appeals, have not yet been determined) are entitled to free and full access to primary and secondary care services

NHS England has produced an information leaflet: Asylum Seekers and Refugees How to register with a doctor (GP). Find this at:

https://assets.nhs.uk/prod/documents/how-to-register-with-a-gp-asylum-seekers-and-refugees.pdf

All persons seeking asylum and Refugees should be registered with a GP in the area which you are accommodated.

When you move areas, you should remember to change your GP to a surgery near your latest address, even if this is a care of address.

If you are a family who is identified as needing assessment and support, you should be contacted by a local Health Visitor who can visit you in your home.
