Direct Debt – The easy way to pay Council Tax


Paying by direct debit is a safe, easy way to pay your bill and can save you time.
 
Direct Debit is:

Once you have set up a direct debit you don’t have to worry about remembering to make a payment each month

Payment dates are available on 1st, 15th and 23rd of each month

You are protected by the direct debit guarantee

There is no charge to use this method of payment
 
  • Easy
      All you need to do is provide your details and we’ll do the rest
 
Complete the Direct Debit Instruction for Council Tax on-line
 
If you are unable to complete this on-line,  contact 0161 342 2015 to set up a Direct Debit over the telephone.
 
A printable copy of the Direct Debit form must be used for Business Rates. This can also be used for Council Tax, if preferred.
 
For Business Rates, use the Direct Debit Instruction for Business Rates, print it out and return it to Tameside Revenues Division.
 
  • Any outstanding arrears will be collected by Direct Debit
  • Direct Debit payments are claimed on either the 1st, 15th or 23rd of the month. The choice is yours

As soon as your Direct Debit has been set up, your instalments will be collected by Direct Debit on the next available date of choice.

You will be notified of your instalments and the dates they will be collected on a revised bill.
