Greater Manchester Community Risk Register

The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 places a legal duty on Category 1 responders (these include the police, fire, ambulance, health and local authorities) to undertake risk assessments and maintain them in a Community Risk Register.

The Greater Manchester Community Risk Register is the basis for Tameside Council's approach to emergency planning.

The Community Risk Register is published on the Greater Manchester Resilience Forum  website.

Emergency responder partners are considering/reviewing the control measures that are in place for the identified risks at a Greater Manchester level and within the borough.

The Government has published a National Risk Register Link to External Website which sets out our assessment of the likelihood and potential impact of a range of different risks that may directly affect the UK. The National Risk Register is designed to increase awareness of the kinds of risks the UK faces, and encourage individuals and organisations to think about their own preparedness.
