Tameside Homeless Service

Systems will be down tomorrow morning until approximately 2pm.
Please contact only if urgent and after 2pm. Full normal service will resume after the bank holiday.

As of 1 June 2022, the homelessness and housing advice service currently operated by Tameside Housing Advice will be delivered by Tameside MBC. The service is a Council service that has been contracted to Jigsaw Homes for many years.

Service delivery as of 1 June 2022 will remain largely unchanged and the service will continue to operate from its current location in Ashton under Lyne.

The Council’s website will be updated over the coming months.


The new main telephone number will be 0161 342 2700. Note this is a new number. The number of calls the service receives is very high and it is often the case that you will receive a quicker response to your enquiry if you email the service.

If you already open to the service, you will retain the same Case Officer and will receive a letter notifying you of new contact details.
