Children can join the Summer Reading Challenge in all Tameside libraries this summer and take part in all our FREE activities!

You can join in with our Read to the Beat library activities, make your own bee drum, listen to fantastical stories, create magnificent Lego Robotics, boogie on down at a silent disco and even become a hip hop DJ! - It’s going to be a magical cram-packed summer!

 Don’t forget our regular Time for a Rhyme sessions are still running every week as well.

Fun, free, friendly activities in all Tameside Libraries for children taking part in Read to the Beat including treasure hunts, crafts and games. 

Activities are aimed at children aged 4-11 and their parents and carers.

Magic Box Storytelling with Beth Guiver

Welcome to the enchanting story realm of scaly dragons, hungry yetis, bickering giants, and weather warning mermaids!

Beth is a professional storyteller who performs traditional stories with music and props.

Expect entertainment for all the family with fascinating facts, chants, jokes, catchy tunes, quirky props and a whole lot of audience shenanigans!

Lego Robotics

Join JuniorSTEM to build fantastic Lego WeDo models, then learn to program sensors, motors and lights to bring them to life.

Street Style Surgery brings that Hip Hop flavour to Dukinfield Library!

Artist Philty will be teaching the basics, with a mix of breaking and graffiti added in for a fun and immersive creative experience
