Street Trading Consents
Under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, the Licensing Section undertakes the licensing of Street Traders within the Borough of Tameside.
Therefore, if you intend to trade on the streets of the Borough, it will be necessary for you to obtain a consent under the above Act. In general, street trading covers mobile food trailers, ice creams vans and flower sellers, for instance.
Certain types of trading are excluded from the definition of street trading. For more information on who can and cannot trade, please contact us.
