The multi-award winning Ashton-under-Lyne Market is one of the busiest and most popular in the North West region and this year has been voted The UK’s Coach Friendly Shopping Destination for 2015.

This delightful market town is a must for groups, coach parties and day trippers.

We offer free parking to the coaches and mini buses, along with a welcoming ‘meet and greet’ service to all coaches and mini buses visiting the market and town centre.

The coach driver receives a free meal and drink voucher to spend at one of our hugely popular food outlets in the market hall. They can choose from Indian Food, an Italian Deli, sandwich bar or a good home-cooked traditional English café.  Then whilst enjoying their meal the driver can look at the free newspaper they also receive on arrival.

The shoppers on the coach themselves will receive a free eco-friendly shopping bag – we are the UK’s Greenest Market by the way – filled with offers and vouchers from market traders and local shops within the town centre. Then, to round off your trip a bag of lovely mints are provided for visitors to share on the coach during your journey home.

The outdoor market is currently undergoing a £4.5million redevelopment which will make it one of the most modern in the country. It is open seven days a week, with a flea market on Tuesdays and a table top sale every Sunday except for the last Sunday in the month – when Ashton hosts the North West’s biggest and best ‘Farmers and Producers’ market with all items fresh and grown locally.

The indoor market – open six days a week – has an amazing range of quality goods including good old favourite sweets of yesteryear, bedding, gifts, clothing, food, and baby wear.
