Veteran's Lapel Badge

Veteran's BadgeThis badge is awarded to any person that has served in the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom up to and including 31 December 1994.

War widows in receipt of a war pension are also eligible for the badge which is issued free of charge through the Veterans Agency.

People that served during the Second World War (1939-1945) in the Cyprus Regiment, Home Guard and Polish Forces under UK Command are also entitled to have and wear the veteran’s badge.

The aim of the badge is to create a sense of identity among veterans of all ages and for this reason it is not issued posthumously.
