A public consultation is open on proposals to create the Ashton & Stalybridge Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC), which aims to bring new homes, jobs and investment to the area. The plans focus on key locations including Ashton town centre, Stalybridge town centre, Ashton Moss and Guide Bridge, with the potential to deliver around 3,000 new homes, improved transport links and new opportunities for local businesses. The consultation is an opportunity for local people to share their views on the proposals, including whether the plans meet the needs of the community and whether the proposed boundaries are right.
