Tameside Loves Reading is a borough wide campaign to harness a love of reading and improve the reading of children across Tameside. Officially launched on 27th February 2019, with the Books for Babies campaign, Tameside Loves Reading will strive to improve reading skills and wider educational achievement in children and young people to help them secure better work and life opportunities, encourage more parents, grandparents and carers to read with their children and to inspire a wider love and enthusiasm for books and reading among Tameside families.

We want all schools across Tameside to get involved in Tameside Loves Reading. You can do this by firstly by promoting the campaign in your school, using the branding that has been sent to you on letterheads, displays and your website alongside getting involved in a number of events, projects and competitions.

Newsletters will be circulated quarterly with ongoing CPD for your staff and we'd love to her about any great ideas that you are doing in your school to celebrate a love of reading and embedding a positive reading - just use the #tamesidelovesreading
