Well Being Support

At times life can be challenging and we need support to look after our health both physical and mental. These pages are here to signpost you to useful services to help you look after your mental health and offer support in many aspects of your life.
If you feel like you need any extra support with your mental health, please contact your social worker or personal advisor, or share your concerns with someone you feel comfortable with
 

branching outBranching Out Tameside – Is a free and confidential service that specialises in supporting young people 25 and under who are affected by drugs or alcohol. Alongside this, we work with families, carers, and professionals who are concerned about somebody else’s substance use.




The HiveThe Hive is part of Tameside and Glossop Mind and is a mental health and wellbeing hub for children aged 8-18 in Tameside and Glossop. They offer a variety of support for children and young people struggling with low level mental health issue or who are in need of wellbeing support. Children under the age of 13 will need to be accompanied by a parent or carer to access these services.

KoothKooth is a service, which provides free, safe and anonymous mental wellbeing support to young people aged 11-18. It is funded by NHS Tameside and Glossop CCG. All their resources are free for schools and young people to access. Follow the link to find out more and how to sign up.

Head SpaceHead Space is an app with some free and subscription services which focuses on using mindfulness tools and meditation to help you create positive mental health habits. Their app has great tools to help reduce stress, anxiety, improve body image and aid sleep and their website has lots on interesting articles and information about meditation, sleep and mindfulness.

– This is a free service, for anyone under the age of 19, which is there to help with any issues. You can talk to trained counsellors about any issues, confidentially, day or night. They have a range of contact methods – whatever works best for you. Click on the flyers below for more information.
