Important Changes to Blue Badge Parking Arrangements in Tameside Car Parks
Blue Badge Holders are now only allowed 3 hours’ free parking on Tameside car parks, view more information on the changes to Blue Badge Parking Arrangements.
Free parking after 3pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from April 2nd 2009. Until further notice.
Please note if parking prior to 3pm on Thursday, Friday or Saturday you should purchase and display a valid pay and display ticket until 3pm. This concession applies only to the days stated as above.

Charges
The scale of charges (including excess charges for parking in excess of permitted hours or contrary to the provisions of the Order) are as follows:-
Scale 1 Charges (Short Stay)
Henrietta Street, Church Street, Ashton Pool (Water Street), Sackville Street, Camp Street, Wimpole Street, Mulberry Street, Old Cross Street.

The class of motor vehicle for which the parking places will be available is any motor vehicle other than a goods vehicle of a maximum gross weight of more than 3.5 tonnes and public service vehicles.
Those drivers displaying on their vehicles a car park pass issued by the Council will be exempt from the charges and time limitations detailed above in respect of the car park or car parks specified in the car park pass. Sackville Street No.2 former British Rail goods yard, Ashton-under-Lyne, is for permit holders only.
