THE COUNCIL’S WORKFORCE

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 the Human Resources Service must provide information held by, or on behalf of Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council in respect of its workforce. As we frequently receive requests for similar information, we have acknowledged the public need for the data. 

In the table below we have generated some reports, which may assist those seeking information. If you have any queries regarding the data, please contact: foi@tameside.gov.uk.

As the records the Council holds are subject to the Data Protection Act 1998, we will not provide data relating to individuals. Where we consider the information to be exempt for any other reason, no records will be provided.

 

Request Description Frequency
Staffing Numbers A breakdown of the Council’s workforce including headcount and full time equivalents for both non Schools, Schools and Teaching staff from 2006/7. Updated annually and then reported quarterly for the current year.
Sickness Absence Days lost due to sickness absence for Council employees from 2006/7. Updated annually and then reported quarterly for the current year.
Salary Ranges The salary scale for employees on NJC terms and conditions. Updated annually (April)
