Licensing Act 2003
As outlined on the application form can you please ensure you read the guidance notes on the rear pages of the application forms before attempting to complete the application forms. Part A of the application form needs to be completed as evidence of your club qualifying status, the necessary information to help you complete that is provided also.
If you wish to submit your application in person, you can visit the Licensing Office during normal opening hours.
The fee for a premises licence is based upon the rateable value of the premises. If you do not know the rateable value of your premises, you can find out from www.voa.gov.uk 
Before submitting your application please ensure you have included all the necessary enclosures. A checklist is provided at the top of page 12 of the part B application form.
In respect of plans of your premises these have to meet the following criteria:
Be of standard scale, i.e. 1 to 100 and shall show:
- Extent of the boundary of the building, external and internal walls and if different, the perimeter of the premises.
- Access and egress points to and from the premises.
- Location of escape routes (if different from access and egress points).
- Where premises are used for more than one existing licensable activity, the area within the premises used for each activity.
- If application, the location(s) on the premises used for the consumption of alcohol.
- Fixed structures or similar, which may impact on the ability of individuals to use exits or escape routes.
- Where a stage or raised area is provided, the location and height of each stage/area relative to the floor.
- Where provided, the location of steps, stairs, elevators or lifts.
- The location of toilets.
- The location and type of fire safety and other safety equipment.
- The location of a kitchen, if any, on the premises.
You are required to send copies of your full application including plans to the responsible authorities, the names and addresses of the responsible authorities are as follows:

You are required to advertise your application to vary your licence in a local newspaper, namely either Tameside Reporter, Tameside Advertiser or the Manchester Evening News. The advert should appear on at least one occasion during the 10 working day period commencing the day after the application was made.
In addition, you are required to display a notice on your premises, which needs to be displayed for a minimum of 28 days commencing on the day after your application has been made.
The notice must be:
- A4 size or larger.
- Pale blue in colour.
- Printed or typed in black in a font size of at least 16.
- On display at the premises where it can be conveniently read from the exterior of the premises.
