Tameside Story Makers


What is Story Makers?


Story Makers My Community sessions are fun and interactive story telling sessions designed for children aged 0-4 years and their families.  Simon the Story Teller delivers, free, weekly sessions in libraries and on Zoom.  The Story Makers My Community sessions are funded from Community Safety.
 
Families who attend the sessions will have the opportunity to work with writer, Caryl Hart and illustrator, Andrew Rowland to help create a children’s picture book which will be printed and published.

When is it on?

Story Makers My Community sessions will start on Tuesday 28th September 2021 and will run until the end of April 2022.
 

  • Tuesdays- 9.30am-10am- Droylsden Library
  • Tuesdays- 10.30am-11am- Droylsden Library
  • Tuesdays- 1pm-1.30pm- Hattersley Library
  • Tuesdays- 2pm-2.30pm- Hattersley Library
  • Wednesdays- 10am- Zoom session
  • Wednesdays- 1pm-1.30pm - Dukinfield Library
  • Wednesdays- 2pm-2.30pm - Dukinfield Library

Booking is essential

How do we take part?


Sessions are open to all families and are suitable for children aged 0-4 years and their families.

Where can I get last year's books?


Families who attended Story Makers last year helped create the book ‘How Kind’.  You can collect a FREE copy from any Tameside Library.
