The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal is another safe and effective way to donate. Your donations will help DEC charities provide food, water, shelter and healthcare to refugees and displaced families.
Money can also be donated via
UNICEF to protect children in Ukraine.

Calls to Ukraine
Calls to Ukraine have been made free via Microsoft Skype. Providers such as EE and O2 have made calls, texts and data to and from the region free. Please contact your provider to verify the waived fees and for more information.
United for Ukraine Job Scheme
The Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme enables business in the north of England provide job opportunities to those fleeing Ukraine .
If your business or a business you know can provide a job opportunities, please visit www.unitedforukraine.org.uk for eligibility criteria and to post job vacancies.
Homes for Ukraine
The Homes for Ukraine Scheme was launched on 14 March, with a record number or people and organisation recording their interest in being a sponsor.
Sponsors are asked to offer accommodation for at least 6 months. The people arriving under this scheme will be able to live and work in the UK for three years. They will also have access to healthcare. Benefits, employments support, education and English Language Tuition.

How can I stay informed?
The UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office provides updates on the situation in Ukraine, including travel alerts, humanitarian efforts and current sanctions placed on Russia.
The
BBC also has a section of their website dedicated to Ukraine. For younger audience’s
CBBC’s Newsround provides resources to help children understand why people are talking about Russia and Ukraine.
