Tameside Story Makers

COVID-19: Please see below for how Story Makers will be delivered differently this year. Please note there are full details of how libraries are delivering services differently in response to Covid-19 (Coronavirus) on the Libraries Homepage.

What is Story Makers?

Story Makers Be Kind sessions are fun and interactive story sessions designed for children aged 0-4 and their families. Simon the Story Teller delivers free weekly sessions by Zoom. The Story Maker sessions are funded from the Community Safety Project.

Families who attend will have the opportunity to work with award winning writer Caryl Hart and illustrator Andy Rowland to create a children’s picture book which will be printed and published.  Families who take part in the sessions will receive a free copy of this book. There's a page on Caryl's website all about the project.

Story Makers Be Kind

After the huge success of the last three projects, Tameside Libraries are pleased to announce that Tameside Story Makers is back for a fourth time.  This time round the theme is ‘Be Kind’.

Due to Covid-19 sessions will be held weekly on the online platform Zoom rather than in the libraries.
