Arts Award Supporter Offer

Arts Award SupporterArts Award is a nationally recognised qualification that aims to help young people aged 5 – 25 to explore their creative skills, and to develop as artists and arts leaders. Tameside Library Service is delighted to be an Arts Award supporter.

We offer:

  • Children doing the Summer Reading Challenge the opportunity to gain Arts Award Discover using a bespoke log.
  • Holiday arts and crafts activities for primary age children that enables them to learn new skills and create their own work.
  • The opportunity to find out more about arts organisations, and arts opportunities in the local area.
  • Resources that can be used to research arts topics, and learn about artists and their work.
  • Cultural events such as author talks, and writing workshops.
  • The chance to talk about books and writing, and to share your favourite authors by attending a book group.
  • Some of our libraries can offer you display space for your art work.
  • There are volunteering opportunities, for example to assist with the Summer Reading Challenge crafts activities for younger children.
