Catch22
Are you tech savvy and would love to work in the digital and tech world?
 
Maybe you have a computer related qualification and don’t know how to take the first step into that career?
 
 We aren’t going to teach you about basic computer knowledge, for this programme you should already have that! Instead we are going to help give you the tools to use that knowledge and take the first steps into your tech career.
 
The initial programme is up to 8 sessions over 4 weeks but once it is completed you will have on-going 1-2-1 employability support for up to 6 months.
 
Delivered remotely by Microsoft teams
 
About the Digital Edge Programme:
  • A pre-employment and pre-apprenticeship programme which will introduce you to the digital world of work
  • An understanding of Digital Apprenticeships and IT Entry Level Jobs
  • Projects and tasks both individual and team based to develop you skills and knowledge
  • Continued support with help to tailor your CV to tech, cover letters and interview prep specific to digital roles
 
 
About you
  • Aged between 18 & 45
  • Access to a laptop or desktop computer with access to the internet
  • Not currently working or in education
  • Good level of computer skills
  • Desire to work within Digital and Technology

Reform’s monthly online Work Club
A session based on opportunities for the future, participants can expect a number of guest speakers who discuss various job and training opportunities available, as well as 1-1s and pastoral sessions.

Black History Month Roundtable – A conversation on race, identity music and culture
 
Want to get your opinion and voice heard during black history month? This is your chance to be part of a radio show, sharing your opinions and thoughts with our listeners! This roundtable discussion will be recorded and shared on Reform Radio.
 
Participants are invited to join us over Zoom for an open conversation on race, identity, music & culture. It's time for change: action not words. This roundtable will be held on Monday 17th, 2 - 4pm
FutureYou – Helping unemployed, young people aged 18-24 progress into education, employment or training
 
Young people will be quickly assigned a mentor who will be their primary contact during the FutureYou programme. The mentor will dedicate time to them to understand current circumstances, goals and any concerns young people may have. Young people will have weekly contact and monthly reviews with their mentor to ensure they have the support needed to keep progressing.
 
Together with their mentor, young people will create a personalised plan of action to help move into the education, training or employment that’s right for them. Every step counts, with constant opportunities to review and track progress and achievements; and make any changes that are needed along the way.

Standguide – Aged 19+ & need a qualification to get onto a course or start a job?

 
Skills for Logistics Level 1 – Face-to-Face Manchester
 
This Level 1 Skills for Logistics qualification will not only provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills but it will also provide you with access to warehouse opportunities in the local area.
 
Initial Assessment: Tuesday 8th November 13:30 – 16:00
 
Course Start/Finish: Wednesday 9th November – Thursday 17th November 09:30 – 15:30
Course Location: The Methodist Church, Central Hall, Oldham Street, Manchester, M1 1JQ
Length: 1 week
 
Level 2 IT User Skills
 
The Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills will develop your knowledge and understanding surrounding using IT, boosting your skills and equip you for a career in IT should you choose, or simply improve your confidence using IT systems.
 
Location: Online
Initial Assessment: Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th November
Course Start: Tuesday 15th November
Length: 8 weeks
Understanding Autism Level 2 – Online
 
This qualification aims to develop learners’ understanding of autism and the principles of supporting individuals with autism.
 
Location: Online
Initial Assessment: Friday 4th and Monday 7th November
Course Start: Monday 14th November
Length: 10 weeks.
 
Virtual lessons to take place every Wednesday and Thursday with 10 hours of learning to complete each week.
