Paying a Parking Fine
You can pay your parking fine in any of the following ways:
By credit/debit card:

you can pay on-line here with a credit card (please select "Car Park Fines" in "Type of Payment" field) Account reference number is the Penalty Charge Notice number, the first two are alphabetical e.g. "TM" and the following 8 digits are numerical.
In person:
- you should take your cheque and car park fine ticket to any of our Customer Services Offices or Tameside Libraries.
By cheque:
- payable to Tameside MBC and posted to Exchequer and Community Service, Council Offices, please quote the billing number on the back of the cheque
By postal order:
- you should post to Exchequer and Community Services, Council Offices - please quote the billing number on the back of the cheque
Alternatively you can pay by cash or cheque at any Post Office (or by cash at any PayPoint Agency in the UK) providing you have the original penalty charge notice or a barcoded letter sent in relation to the parking notice Please pay promptly.
If you pay your parking fine within 14 days from the date it was served/issued, we will reduce the fee by 50%
Disputing a Parking Fine Within 14 Day
If you wish to dispute your fine and have a valid ticket you should complete the appeals form .
Whilst we consider your disputed fine we will freeze the deadline date to pay until such time as we respond. If your dispute is unsuccessful we will expect payment within 14 days from the date of our response.
If you wish to dispute your fine on the basis of extenuating circumstances you should complete the appeals form .
How Much You Pay
A Penalty Charge Notice will be issued for failure to comply with traffic contraventions of either £70.00 for a higher level contravention or £50.00 for all other contraventions. The Penalty Charge will be discounted by 50% if paid within 14 days from the date the notice was issued/served
(The last day of the period of 14 days beginning with the date on which this PCN was served/issued).
