DON’T MISS OUT ON HEALTHY START VOUCHERS


Work changes caused by the civid-19 pandemic mean many more people are now eligible for Healthy Start vouchers.

They are easy to apply for and can be used to buy fruit and vegetables (fresh or frozen) and milk. The vouchers can also be exchanged for free Healthy Start vitamins for pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children aged from six months to four years.

To be eligible, a woman must be at least 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under four. They and their family also have to be in receipt of:
 
  •  Income support
  • Income-based jobseekers allowance
  • Income-related employment and support allowance
  • Child tax credit (with a family income of £16,190 or less per year) or
