Partnerships

Tameside Libraries Information Service has a number of partnerships, aimed at working together with other information providers, to give you the best access to information possible. Below are listed some of the partnerships in which we are involved:

EPIC: (European Public Information Centre)

Tameside Libraries Information Service is an 'EPIC centre'. This means that we are part of the 'EPIC network' which exists to make information about Europe and the European Union available and accessible at a local level.

CLS: (Community Legal Service)

Tameside Libraries Information Service is an 'Assisted Information Provider' of CLS material. This means that we are able to make information available to you, such as leaflets or other reference material, to help you with your legal enquiry . As we are an 'Assisted Information Provider', a member of library staff will be able to help you find the information you need, should you require them to. We can also help you decide on the most appropriate source of information.

We also hold a range of CLS leaflets which are free for you to take away.

Why not visit the Community Legal Service Link to External Website website in order to find out more about the CLS in general.

Tameside General Hospital:

Tameside Libraries Information Service works together with Tameside General Hospital to provide the Patient Information Centre - delivering information to patients and carers from a base at the Hospital site. For more information visit the Patient Information Centre webpage Link to External Website
