Opportunities and Developments

We are always looking to attract inward investment into the borough and are currently working on a number of major development projects and sites across Tameside to create future growth opportunities. With £20 million Levelling up funding for Ashton Town Centre, and £20m for Stalybridge and a masterplan underway for Hyde, we are shaping our town centres for the future.

We are also working on plans for a large and regionally important employment site at Ashton Moss which is uniquely positioned for easy connectivity across the North West region. And with an adopted masterplan for St Petersfield, in Ashton Under Lyne’s urban business quarter we’ve also got plans to bring forward high quality office space, retail, residential and leisure facilities that could provide your businesses with some fantastic opportunities.

The beautifully restored and revitalised historic Ashton Old Baths is a shining example of how we have worked with the private sector to evolve our assets for the future. The building is now an innovative hub for digital and creative businesses with shared workspace and offices with a fantastic support team and brilliant creative community. It can provide unique opportunities for new and growing creative and digital businesses.
