 The museum is a 15-20 minute walk from Ashton-under-Lyne bus station and the centre of Ashton. For more information on bus times please click here .

 Portland Basin Museum is located in Ashton-under-Lyne, just off Junction 23 of the M60. From Junction 23, take the A635 into Ashton-under-Lyne following signs for the Town Centre. Pass the police station and continue through the traffic lights, take the right onto Bentinck Street, take the right onto Hill Street then take the left onto Portland Street South, the museum car park will be on your right.
