Application Validation Checklist
Local List of Information Requirements for Planning Applications
The validation checklist is designed to identify the information required to be submitted in support of planning applications. It includes a national list of information that must be submitted with every planning application and a local list of requirements for Tameside. You are advised to refer to both the sets of requirements before formally submitting an application. Any planning application which fails to meet the criteria may not be registered and could result in delays in the application.
The Tameside validation checklist has recently been reviewed in response to recent legislative and policy changes. Following the review the Councils Speakers Panel (Planning Committee) considered the current validation checklist to still be fit for purpose to ensure that the correct and necessary information is submitted with planning applications in Tameside.
The accompanying guidance notes; which include details of policies, national and local guidance documents, supplementary planning documents and details of external agencies have been updated to incorporate the publication of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), the deletion of the Planning Policy Guidance Notes and Statements and other recent changes.
The current documents, approved on the 31 July 2013, are available to view and download below and apply with immediate effect.
