Tameside Local Studies and Archives Centre

Welcome to Tameside Local Studies and Archives Centre.

In line with government guidance Local Studies is now fully open and there are no restrictions on using the computers, tables and microfilm readers.

For the protection of staff and users, we will still maintain some safety measures, such as the one way system (entrance at Oldham Road), cleaning of computers in between users, and staff continuing to wear masks. You will no longer need to book for browsing or computer use. Please note that use of archive material will still require advance notice, to ensure the material can be made available for your visit.

Thank you for your continued patience.
